unit of Health
Bangladesh’s huge population size, extreme population density and high levels of poverty impose significant challenges to sustain the successes achieved in health. FSDR works in infectious diseases focusing on developing ways to fight and prevent diarrheal diseases, HIV/AIDS, malaria, water and sanitation, family planning, nutrition, maternal, neonatal and child health, tobacco control and vaccine-preventable diseases. Our activities in health expect to help Bangladesh to achieve its goals specially in reducing fertility through informed and comprehensible choice of contraceptive methods, reducing child and maternal mortality reduction through immunization and the early identification and treatment of respiratory infections , maintaining HIV prevalence in most-at-risk populations (MARPs) through increasing access to various services and voluntary counseling. Our projects also include educating people about good hygiene habits to reduce the risk of illnesses.
